As rumoured a couple of days ago, Hello Games' No Man's Sky has slipped for its June 22 release date to August. The highly anticipated exploration-heavy procedurally generated space adventure is now slated for release on August 12 in the UK (August 10 in the rest of Europe).
Sean Murray, founder of Hello Games, took to the PlayStation Blog to explain the decision:
"The game really has come together, and it's such an incredible relief. As we sit and play it now, and as I watch playtesters every day, I can finally let myself get excited. We're actually doing this.
However, as we approached our final deadlines, we realised that some key moments needed extra polish to bring them up to our standards. I have had to make the tough choice to delay the game for a few weeks to allow us to deliver something special."
At the end of the day we have to wait a couple more months for a game that boasts infinite content. No biggie...
