Forgotton Anne is a cinematic adventure that also offers some platforming mechanics that's heading to PC, PS4, and Xbox One next year.

Having just announced the game last week we caught up with Alfred Nguyen and Michael Godlowski-Maryniak from Danish indie outfit ThroughLine Games to learn more about the cinematic adventure that is Forgotton Anne.

"Forgotton Anne is a 2D cinematic adventure game," explains Nguyen. "And it is set in the Forgotten Realm where creatures called Forgotlings roam. And what are Forgotlings? Forgotlings can be anything from the human world, like objects that you have forgotten about. Everything from childhood toys you left in the attic to maybe this microphone here if you had an attachment to it. They appear in the Forgotten Realm and they wander around as these creatures. And then there are two humans who find themselves down here in the Forgotten Realm which is an old man named Bonku and a young girl named Anne, and how they ended up there and their quest to return to the human world is what is the mystery and what drives the story forward in this story-driven game."
