After the death of World of Warcraft legacy server Nostalrius earlier this year, a custom server for the vanilla game, players of the server and fans of the vanilla game became concerned over the future of legacy servers and hoped Blizzard would comment at BlizzCon.

Unfortunately, however, that doesn't seem to be the case. On Battle.net there is a post saying: "We've seen some talk among the community that you might be expecting to hear some news on legacy servers at BlizzCon, and we just wanted to take a moment to let you know that while we're still discussing the possibility, we won't have any updates to share on that until after the show."

While that's disappointing, there does seem to be hope that Blizzard will actually update fans on the issue, even if it is after BlizzCon. Do you think issues around legacy servers and vanilla enthusiasts should be addressed sooner rather than later?
