Transformers: Forged to Fight announced

Hasbro and Kabam have just announced Transformers: Forged to Fight, an action title for smartphones starring the always popular Transformers. The developer promises that we'll get to meet classics like Optimus Prime, Bumblebee, Megatron, Starscream, and Grimlock, and in the trailer below we also get to see other characters.

One of the key aspects of the game is that you can visit "nearly every era of the franchise's history" to find the version of the characters you like the most. In the game you're supposed to assemble a team of Autobots and Decepticons to fight of other Transformers from a corrupted future.

The action is described as a fighting game, one on one, but there will also be vehicle sections as well as RPG elements. Mike McCartney, Executive Producer for the game had the following to say in an official statement:

"The Transformers franchise and its characters are larger than life, and Kabam is working closely with Hasbro to develop a game that lives up to that expectation. It will be a thrilling experience for long-time fans of the brand as well as newcomers, offering players incredible visuals, action-packed gameplay, and a truly immersive world."

Transformers: Forged to Fight will be released during the spring, but a beta will also be launched shortly to give fans the opportunity to have a taste of things to come. Which era of Transformers is your favourite?
