Data analysts SuperData published a report on digital sales for October, and the findings indicate good fortunes for League of Legends, Battlefield 1, and Pokémon Go, which dominated PC, console, and mobile sales respectively. One game came out of the report looking significantly worse, however, and that's Titanfall 2. Here's what the report had to say:
"Electronic Arts did not find comparable success with the release of Titanfall 2. Electronic Arts made the poor choice to push out the title in between the releases of two larger and more popular FPS franchises. The divided attention of FPS gamers had a negative impact on sales, bringing in total of only $18 million. Compared to Titanfall 1 (which released in March 2014 against no competing titles), Titanfall 2 brought in only 28% of its predecessor's first month revenue."
So it seems then that the poor form in terms of sales for the actually quite good Titanfall 2 applies to digital sales as well, which is a shame, because we really liked it. Did you get in physically or digitally?
