After a couple of years in the Early Access testing/developing phase, Bohemia Interactive's Take On Mars is finally ready to launch in its final form. The space exploration simulator will be available starting February 9 for PC, and this is the final official description of the experience by the devs:

"Take On Mars lets players experience the exploration of the Red Planet in its entirety - starting out in the seat of a rover operator, all the way to taking part in the first manned mission, and establishing the foundations of a human colony on Mars."

The following trailer gives us a sneak peak at how the "Manned Mission Story Campaign" unfolds, as it's a pretty recent new feature added to the core game. This single-player portion of the game tells the story of astronaut Mark Willis, who loses contact with Earth on the first manned mission to the Red Planet, during the year 2028.

The game is all about surviving, gathering/mining resources, crafting tools by means of a 3D printer and building shelters. Below is the new trailer about Mark Willis' story in Take On Mars.
