Google tightens rules for less conscientious developers

Google, and by extension the Play Store, has always wanted to be transparent about data recovery and its privacy policy, a behavior that it also requires from developers who want to publish on its application market.

But not all developers comply with these rules. Google demands that if an application requires access to personal data, it must be clearly stated to the users, but it also insists that a complete privacy policy complying with that of the Play Store is proposed. It turns out many apps on offer on the store have "forgotten" to specify these legal mentions, however.

Google since then decided to raise the tone, imposing compliance with its privacy rules under threat of penalties. The giant did not detail the table of penalties but said that this could lead to an outright exclusion though.
