Peter Molyneux's The Trail is out for PC

The Trail, by legendary game designer Peter Molyneux, has already seen release on iOS devices, and today it arrives to Steam as well in the form of The Trail: Frontier Challenge, which is a reimagined version of the mobile game that's developed to engage players in a different way. As Molyneux himself has said, it's more strategic, and also offers custom controls.

In this game you have to select one out of five professions and become a pioneer exploring a new land. New to this version is a character skills upgrade tree as well as a new pace of exploration. The journey is full of other people representing other players in the game, however, so you have to trade at campfires to amass more and more money. At the end of the way is Eden Falls, a place to settle down and form a community.

The Trail: Frontier Challenge launchs with a 10% discount, and you can get it on on Steam until August 22 for £9.89. How does this concept sound to you? Better than iOS?
