Desk, a popular fighting game focused YouTuber, has spent the last four weeks producing a video on some new combos he found in the 26 year old game.

Street Fighter II released in 1991 - that's 26 years ago - has been extremely popular ever since. Yet somehow, a prolific YouTuber in the Street Fighter community who goes by the alias Desk, has discovered some new combos.

While playing against Vega, you can use a glitch that exploits how the character recovers from a fall. Unlike other characters, Vega isn't invincible as he rises back to his feet due to a bug that was discovered back in the 90's that makes his hitbox return too soon, meaning he can still be dealt damage while laying down. This was first revealed in VHS tapes released in the 1990's by an old Street Fighter expert named TZW, even though those tapes are now long gone.

In a video on Desk's channel, he shows just how the bug is used to execute some truly ridiculous combos. Some of his discoveries include infinites, which means they can be performed forever if the timing is perfect, and combos that give the player time to jump in between attacks, which hasn't been explored much in the past despite being known about for a while.

In the description, Desk explains that Street Fighter II is actually full of randomness for a fighting game, in terms of damage, stun points, and how long you're stunned for. This means executing the exact sequence over and over doesn't always end with the same result.

It's crazy considering just how popular the game was and how long it's been around? Then again this particular bug is only found in the arcade release The World Warrior, so not everyone has access.

Meanwhile, players will be to enjoy the latest version of the game (without the hitbox bug, presumably) on Nintendo Switch from May 26...
