The English language version of the original Legend of Zelda game on NES came with a typo: "penninsula" instead of a "peninsula". The message which makes as little sense spelled correctly as it does misspellt has persisted through multiple releases of the classic. Until now.

Clyde Mandelin author of a book called Legends of Localization Book 1: The Legend of Zelda went on Twitter with some photos showing that this old typo has now finally been fixed.

If you want the correctly spelled message you need to play the NES Classic Mini version of the game.
