Adam Isgreen, creative director at Microsoft Studios, joined Sean Plott on stage during the PC Gaming show at E3 to announce a brand new game. In celebration of its 20th birthday, that game turned out to be Age of Empires: Definitive Edition.
Isgreen said they've re-recorded the entire soundtrack to the game using a real symphony, along with re-doing all assets. He also confirmed they've improved the gameplay and modernised the UI, including an idle villagers button and it'll also include Xbox Live multiplayer. There's a web portal to track stats online, and players can head to the official site to sign up for a closed beta.
