Final Fantasy XV has really spread its wings recently, as earlier this month the Regalia was made available in Forza Horizon 3, and now it's time for another collaboration, this time with another very famous franchise.

Square Enix and Ubisoft have decided to fuse the Assassin's Creed and Final Fantasy XV universes, and the first part of this relationship blossoms on August 30, when Final Fantasy XV players who obtained the Dream Egg during the Moogle Chocobo Carnival event will receive a very familiar assassin outfit that Noctis can use. Then, on August 31, the Assassin's Festival event will start, and the town of Lestallum will transform into a city worthy of your new robes. We don't just mean that there will be new banners and signs either, as the city will suddenly have some conveniently placed haystacks, new activities, purchasable outfits from Assassin's Creed, and more. Also, Noctis' new robes might have magical properties, as he suddenly learns how to kill with his newly acquired hidden blade, take a leap of faith, climb like an assassin, and many other well-known assassin abilities. You can see some of these actions in the trailer and screenshots below.

They companies don't want to reveal how Final Fantasy XV will find its way into Assassin's Creed: Origins, but we've got a feeling that the last image in this article might have given us a few clues.

What do you think of this collaboration? Does it work?

REVIEW. Written by Jonas Mäki

"It feels like the series should feel, but adapted for a modern audience, and we're so glad that Tabata pulled this massive project together in the way that he did."
