Earlier this week it was confirmed that id Software's Doom is, in fact, coming to the Nintendo Switch. That was a huge game on PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One in terms of file-size, and therefore it raised the question as to whether something would have to be removed for the Switch version, with its limited disk space and expensive larger cartridges.
As it turns out, Bethesda has decided to offer the full game as a download for those who buy digitally. However, if you prefer your games physical, then you'll only get the single-player part of the game. The multiplayer can be downloaded for free by those with a cartridge (and if you're playing online, you have an internet connection), but this might be a good thing to know if you plan on buying the cartridge and are short of Switch storage.
Thanks, Engadget.
