Square Enix launched Final Fantasy XV's patch 1.16 recently, adding new story sequences, specifically to chapter 12, which is getting reworked to give players more information about the war of the ancient god-like Astral creature.

Furthermore, the mysterious Gentiana has also received an additional cutscene to improve player's understanding of her role and connection with Lunafreya. Remember, you can use the chapter selection in the main menu to replay the linear chapter once more, if you want to see the changes for yourself.

Next to the story additions, patch 1.16 also introduces more bug fixes (some of them connected with the Assassin's Festival), concludes the Chocobo Carnival event, and adds two more fishes to catch. Some of the patch's contents can be seen in the screenshots below, shared via Twitter, and for full patch notes, check out Reddit.

REVIEW. Written by Jonas Mäki

"It feels like the series should feel, but adapted for a modern audience, and we're so glad that Tabata pulled this massive project together in the way that he did."
