This October 8bitdo is releasing new models of their high-quality third-party controllers for several platforms, and in the following video we take a closer look at several products from their lineup, with special attention put on the two SNES-inspired Pro Controllers (SN30 Pro & SF30 Pro) and the Arcade Stick they're releasing with the Switch in mind.

The two main new features are "the motion controls and the vibration", as well as "USB-C" as explains distributor Game Outlet Europe's Ali Manzuri. These Switch-related features are not present on all of the already existing Bluetooth 8bitdo controllers, but that doesn't mean you cannot play with them on the Switch, as they all got their firmware updated to support Nintendo's console. Other than that, they can be used on PC, iOS, Android, Raspberry Pi and more.

Compared to Nintendo's official Pro Controller for the Switch, the SN30 Pro and the SF30 Pro from 8bitdo only miss the HD Rumble ("because it's a Nintendo patent") "and the NFC functions", according to Manzuri. Another difference is the D-Pad, which given the issues detected with the official controller, "I believe (it could be an advantage)" with games such as Puyo Puyo Tetris or Ultra Street Fighter.

Now the Super Nintendo Classic Mini has launched, Manzuri finds the SNES-inspired look "a coincidence", as 8bitdo has been releasing NES & SNES tribute controllers for three years now. In fact, they now released the SN30 2.4G and SF30 2.4G, as wireless controller alternatives for the Mini.

Later in the video, we take a look at the N30 Arcade Stick, which can be easily customized with Sanwa buttons and stick. The peripheral can be used on Nintendo Switch via Bluetooth for arcade and retro games, as well as other devices via USB.

Then there's the Cube Speakers, which work with "anything Bluetooth except, unfortunately, the Nintendo Switch", as it doesn't support Bluetooth sound yet, despite being inspired by its colours and the NES D-Pad.

Finally, we take a look at the very limited AP40, which is a complete homage to Apple as "the creator of 8bitdo is a huge fan". This little controller includes certificate, Macintosh keyboard-stand, and even apple-like cover to protect the USB plug. 8bitdo made just 1976 units, as another nod to Apple's history.

These products retail for 49,99 euro the Pro Controllers, 79,99 euro the Arcade Stick, 49,99 euro the Apple-tribute controller, and 39,99 the Stereo Cubes, and can be found all around Europe at Amazon and local retailers.
