D.W.S. has announced that its VR battle royale game Until None Remain has launched on Steam Early Access, featuring not only online matches against other players but also an offline practice lobby for those new to VR.

"Until None Remain is a futuristic multiplayer first person shooter in a Battle Royale or Last Man Standing format," the press release explains. "Matches pit weaponless players against one another in a death match that continues until only one player remains. Players must rush to acquire weapons, armor, or specialty items such as jet packs, or traps. Scale walls or objects using magnetized gloves, jet around the arena in a jet pack, and interact with an environment that includes turrets, explosive containers, noxious gases, and more!"

As with other games of the sort like PUBG or Fortnite's Battle Royale mode, gases will push the players closer together every five minutes, and matches will either last till one person is left standing, or a maximum of 15 minutes. Also, if there's not enough players, AI fighters will step in to fill games out.

As you play you're rewarded for getting armour, weapons, or other items, and in regards to your arsenal, you can get all sorts of things from mine launchers to rifles and knives. Full body rendering also means that you can hide and take cover using automatic crouch detection, and there's energy shields to defend yourself too.

For the first week in Early Access there's a 40% discount, so you can currently get the game for £3.35, and it supports both HTC Vive and Oculus Rift headsets, with a non-VR version planned for the future as well. For more on the game, visit Steam or watch the trailer down below.

Could this be a new hit in terms of battle royale games?
