Overwatch players have been waiting for news about this year's Winter Wonderland event for a week already, and now we finally have the first details.

Blizzard has just released a new video where Jeff Kaplan reveals that Winter Wonderland returns on December 12, and that it'll include a whole bunch of goodies. There's obviously some new skins, and although Kaplan doesn't want to tell us about all of them, he is willing to unveil that Hanzo, Junkrat, and Roadhog are getting new legendary skins. Those of you who have read the comics might even have seen Hanzo's new skin already, so there's a small tease for you.

Hanamura and King's Row will also be filled with snow again, while Black Forest will experience winter for the first time as well. It's also rather fitting that Mei's Snowball Offensive can be played both there and on Ecopoint: Antarctica.

That's not the only mode we get to play this winter, however, as Kaplan also reveals a new one called Mei's Yeti Hunt. In this, five players take control of Meis, while a sixth player controls a yeti-themed Winston. The Meis are tasked with finding and killing Winston before he collects enough of the meat pieces that are spread across the Nepal map. If they fail, Winston will activate his Primal Rage ultimate and the hunters will become the hunted. The Mei team will win if they manage to kill Winston, while Winston will win if he manages to kill enough Meis. A rather interesting concept if you ask us.

You can hear Kaplan explain all of this himself in the video below. How do you like the sound of this year's Winter Wonderland?
