It's time for one of those stories that you don't expect to write when you start the working week. Nevertheless, here we are. The weekend before the game's release on Xbox One, the team behind PlayerUnknown's Battleground has had to apologise after a female character model featuring pronounced genitalia was highlighted over on Twitter.

What with this emerging around the same time as the newly minted desert-themed map, the camel toe references are strong with this particular story, but jokes aside it's more of a concern that the character model ended up in the game's test server in the first place. In response to the original post, which as you can no doubt imagine gained plenty of attention on social media, PUBG creator-in-chief Brendan Greene responded thus:

After looking into this, it appears it came as part of the character model we received from an outsourcer when we first started the project. The file itself has not been changed in 2 years. It will be updated shortly with changes! Sorry for any offense caused!

If, as promised, the character model is removed from the game, then hopefully we can move on from this little incident and concentrate on the much more exciting matter of the game's launch on Xbox One and its emergence from Early Access on Steam later this month.
