Team Ninja has already stated that Dead or Alive 5 isn't getting any more DLC after what's been unusually long and steady support (the game was released 2012 and was expanded upon until just recently) from the developer. Now they are now hinting on Twitter that we can look forward to some sort of announcement on Sunday at an esports event:

"Good luck to all the fighters that will be attending our Battle Royal 2017 Grand Finals event at NEC18. Make sure to stick around until the finals are over. There will be an announcement once the prizes are given to the champions on Dec. 17th. Stream info will be posted soon."

Since Dead or Alive 5: Last Round is featured, it is not too farfetched to belive that we might be getting a new chapter in the fighting series, or will it be a smaller announcement?

Honestly, we've been made to wait far too long for Dead or Alive 6, haven't we?

"If you play a lot of DoA5 and want the latest, better-balanced version with improved visuals? Then the buy-in is worth it. "
