Swedish indie outfit Image & Form are feeling the love for Nintendo Switch, hot of the heels of announcing SteamWorld Heist: Ultimate Edition (out on December 28), the company announced more games from the studio will be coming to Switch next year. The reason is simple, SteamWorld Dig 2 has been a huge success on the platform.
In the latest edition of their video blog series The Engine Room, founder Brjann Sigurgeirsson and community manager Julian Guldbog, talked about just how successful it has been:
Sigurgeirsson: "We launched SteamWorld Dig 2 now and it's by far, and I don't even know what you say in English, far and beyond, best launch we've had for any game."
Guldbog: "We sold many times more than on Steam, right?"
Sigurgeirsson: "Yup, and many, many times more than we've sold on PS4 and Vita at this point."
There's some fairly unsubtle hinting that Image & Form could be bringing the original SteamWorld Dig to Switch, but beyond that we're not sure what they may have in store for us...
