According to the Japanese magazine Famitsu (brought to us via Gematsu), Super Mario Odyssey has sold 1,055,806 copies in Japan since its launch on October 27, and although this data doesn't count digital sales on Nintendo's eShop, it does include bundled copies and download cards.

What's more is that we also learn that the Switch has reached another important milestone too, selling close to 3 million units (2,988,399, to be precise) in Japan since its launch, which is even more impressive when you consider that a similar figure was recorded by the Wii U during its entire life cycle.

Last week alone the Switch sold 230,000 units, a figure that could undoubtedly increase as we approach the holidays. Are you planning on getting a Switch for Christmas?
